Descripción
The program departs on Saturdays from San Fernando del Valle de Catamarca. ------- If adventure is your thing, this trip is for you. Over the course of 7 days, you will traverse the country's most extreme, high-altitude, and lesser-known landscapes. Travel the Adobe Route, go sandboarding in Saujil, and relax at the Fiambalá Hot Springs. Experience the Puna, volcanoes, white deserts, and Martian-like terrain—all in one journey. We travel by 4x4 to the breathtaking Balcón del Pissis, situated over 4,500 meters above sea level. We venture into the volcanic heart of the north: exploring the surreal Pumice Stone Field (Campo de Piedra Pómez) and the mystical Antofalla Salt Flat—along with its indigenous community—and crossing the crater of the Galán Volcano, home to high-altitude lagoons and active fumaroles. To top it all off, we delve into history by visiting the impressive El Shincal ruins—the last major Inca site—before returning to the city. An intense, unique, and challenging experience designed for lovers of 4x4 driving, high altitudes, and vast open spaces. Catamarca, unfiltered. No technical difficulty. NOTE: Catamarca is a destination for authentic adventure, featuring unique and little-explored landscapes. Routes cover gravel roads and remote areas with limited infrastructure and poor connectivity. Much of the trip takes place in small, high-altitude villages with no mobile signal, making careful planning essential. 👉 The experience is led by local expert guides who know the terrain and ensure safety throughout the journey. A unique trip for those seeking nature, a chance to unplug, and real adventure.
