Dos Glaciares - Gran Glaciar Vespignani, Lago del Desierto

We depart from our meeting point in El Chaltén, traveling the 37 km that separate us from Lago del Desierto along a beautiful gravel road, following the Río de las Vueltas. During the journey, we make stops at scenic viewpoints. Then, from the Punta Sur Dock, we navigate for about 30 minutes, spotting the Huemul and Crestón Glaciers, to disembark in the area of the Gran Glaciar Vespignani. Once there, you will have 2 hours to choose to explore all or some of the THREE proposed trails for this product, perfectly marked in the area according to the difficulty and effort you wish to undertake. After a farewell chocolate, we board for the return trip to the Punta Sur Dock. Once there, we will have free time to explore the self-guided trails in the area with views of the Huemul Glacier; at the scheduled time, the bus will take us back to El Chaltén where our adventure concludes. Optional: Trekking to La Laguna Huemul (Approximate time: 02 hours. Additional cost). Trekking options in Área G. Vespignani: - The Red trail, with an elevation gain of 200 meters and a 2 km route, allows us to reach the foot of the Glacier in one hour at a slow pace, plus an incredible high view of the north face of Cerro Fitz Roy. - The Yellow trail, with an elevation gain of only 50 meters over 1 km, takes us with a gentle slope in 30 minutes to a prominent viewpoint overlooking the Glacier. - The Green trail, as an option or complement to the other routes, is an interpretive walk with no elevation gain of only 800 meters in total length, always within the wooded and coastal area, which does not miss having its viewpoint of the Gran Glaciar.
