Presentation

The Paso de las Nubes trek is a unique experience in the heart of the Andean Patagonia. It connects the Cerro Tronador area with Puerto Blest, traversing forests, valleys, and historic mountain passes, culminating in a navigation through the lakes of Nahuel Huapi National Park to Bariloche. Nature, adventure, and history combine in an ideal route for those looking to experience the mountains from within.

Descripción

The Paso de las Nubes trail connects Pampa Linda, in the Cerro Tronador area, with Puerto Frías (Puerto Blest) through a two-day hiking journey in the heart of the Patagonian Andes. On the first day, approximately 5 hours of hiking are covered until reaching Refugio Rocca, where it is possible to spend the night or camp nearby, as this is the only designated camping area during the trek. On the second day, the journey continues with a hike of around 6 hours to Lago Frías. From Puerto Frías, a navigation of about 20 minutes takes you to Puerto Alegre. There, a bus is taken to cover the 3 km that separate Puerto Alegre from Puerto Blest. Finally, from Puerto Blest, the catamaran is boarded to navigate Lake Nahuel Huapi to Puerto Pañuelo, in Bariloche. It is a moderately difficult trail, ideal for trekking and mountain lovers. --- Another highly recommended option is to spend a second night at Hotel Puerto Blest and return to Bariloche the following day.
