An adventure among mountains and traditions
Descripción
Trekking through Iruya – San Isidro – San Juan: an adventure among mountains and traditions Located at 2,780 meters above sea level, on the eastern slopes of the Sierra de Santa Victoria and 307 km from the city of Salta, the picturesque village of Iruya awaits you with its unique charm. Its cobblestone streets, colonial houses, and the imposing natural surroundings make it seem like a place frozen in time, a dreamlike corner nestled among the mountains of northern Argentina. We invite you to discover its landscapes and its people in the best possible way: on foot! Get ready for an unforgettable journey that connects Iruya, San Isidro, and San Juan, three hidden gems among valleys and ravines. On this route, you will experience the authentic essence of the Andes: ancient paths, panoramic views, crystal-clear rivers, and the warmth of local communities. In the itinerary we present below, you will find all the details of this experience: the stages of the trekking, the highlights, the level of difficulty, and recommendations to make the most of every step of this adventure.
Itinerary
We will meet in Iruya at a time and place that will be communicated to participants in advance. During the meeting, we will hold a technical talk where we will review the itinerary, recommended equipment, safety aspects, and answer all questions related to the journey.
